By Fenderputty Go To PostI’m semi curious about the x files …Word is that the first episode is weak but the next 3 are good.
Going to give that new Fox cop show, 911 a chance tonight. Connie Britton had me sold already, but Angela Bassett as a cop? Yeah, I'll try that out.
What the shit is the Free Form channel? I don't have cable but I'm interested in the Blackish spinoff, Grown-ish.

Nightflyers from George R.R. Martin will be shown on Netflix. Syfy doing it and hopefully they follow the quality of what they did with The Expanse.
Watched the first 2 episodes of peaky blinders. Really liking it so far, looking forward to watch more
Kiernan Shipka is gonna be Sabrina in the Netflix Sabrina the Teenage Witch show. How did I not think of that
By Kabro Go To PostFirst episode of X-files feels weird. Like it doesnt know what it should be.Every review said it was the low point of the first half of the season but the following 4 episodes are an improvement over the previous season.
By Omzz Go To PostWatched the first 2 episodes of peaky blinders. Really liking it so far, looking forward to watch moreI binge watched it a couple weeks ago, it’s pretty awesome
By Kidjr Go To PostWe have a release date for billions yet?March 25th.
I only got to watch one episode of Electric Dreams but I like it. I think having each episode be it's own self contained story will be a positive and a negative. Like some of the shorts will need more time to develop something impact and others not so much. In the same sense each episode will be fresh.
I finally decided to check out the Marvelous Mrs. Maisel after hearing good things about it.
Ended up watching the whole season in a day.
It truly is a wonderful show, Rachel Brosnahan is amazing.

Mirrorverse in this bitch
I need to watch this. My mom gave me her code
Saw the first episode of American Crime Story : The Assassination Of Gianni Versace. It's promising, Darren Criss's performance as Andrew Cunanan is pretty interesting so far.
It's a very different show from the first season.

Finished Punisher last night which was some powerful stuff. The first few episodes are jarring as Frank doesn’t have as much screen time as a main character should while you're forced to get to know a slew of side characters. But eventually I was invested in everyone and Punisher got more to do. So excellent.
By Laboured Go To PostYou guys need to get on Counterpart. JK Simmons knocking it out of the park.Watched it last night. Found it well produced and intriguing enough, if a bit on the 'has been done before' side of things. It kept reminding me of a couple of different shows in the same vein. Definitely some Fringe in there, some Man in the High Castle as well.
It'll be interesting to see where they take it. Thought Simmons performance was very JK Simmons plays JK Simmons, but that's not a bad thing (yet).
The Marvelous Mrs. Maisel is, well, marvelous. It sometimes doesn't convey the passage of time very clearly and can feel like they cut some scenes that would explain character interactions and reversals that feel abrupt. Really looking forward to the 2nd season.
Phillip K. Dick's Electric Dreams seems good, from the few episodes I've seen so far, but they are only loosely based on the short stories. I will admit that a straight adaptation would make for poor television, as they can feel dated (PKD's heroes, alien or human, often yearn to be middle-management for insurance offices in the 1950s).
I saw the pilot of Counterpart. I liked it. Simmons does a good job of portraying his separate versions.

Agreed on Mrs. Maisel. The humor is very well on point, and they do a really wonderful job of world building. There's so much history in that space and they do a bang up job of bringing it all together. The acting, especially by Rachel Brosnahan after her cold and stoic stint on House of Cards, really brings it full circle. She's extremely charming and endearing.
What did you guys who read the book(s) make of the Altered Carbon trailer?
I realize it's a trailer for a sci-fi show, so it needs to be bombastic to engage with the mainstream audience, but I don't know. It's been a while since I read the books, so it might be that, but I'm almost having trouble recognizing the source material in this. It could be a really cool show, if done right.

This is unfair to whoever ends up competing in her category. Spoiler marked in case you haven't seen it yet.

Meryl Streep Joins ‘Big Little Lies’ Season 2
http://variety.com/2018/tv/news/meryl-streep-big-little-lies-season-2-1202675363/
Streep will play Mary Louise Wright, the mother of Perry Wright (Alexander Skarsgård). Concerned for the well-being of her grandchildren following her son Perry’s death, Mary Louise arrives in Monterey searching for answers.
The news comes on the heels of Streep receiving an Oscar nomination for her leading role in Steven Spielberg’s “The Post.” With the nomination, Streep broke her own record for the most Oscar acting nominations, bringing her total number of nods to 21. She has also been nominated for her roles in films like “The Deer Hunter,” “Kramer vs. Kramer,” “Silkwood,” and “The Devil Wears Prada.” She has won three Oscars throughout her career. Sources tell Variety that Streep will make around $800,000 per episode.
I enjoyed Big Little Lies, but found the climax unfulfilling. They also left a few cliffhanger which is annoying. Streep will be a great addition though and will fit right in with what they're doing.
She was also fine in The Post but spent most of her scenes in contemplation face mode, as that was the entire premise of the movie. Will she or won't she? That doesn't deserve an award in my opinion.

Ok, this came out of nowhere but CBS is bringing back Murphy Brown for a 13 episode season with most of the original cast.
I remember watching the later seasons when I was a kid.

First Full House, then X-Files, then Will & Grace, then Roseanne and now Murphy Brown. Can't imagine what's next.

a few episodes into altered carbon
amazing visuals, bad acting (lead actor is fine, the others though..) and average script. can't stop watching it however, nearly done. recommended for fans of cyberpunk.

That's a good summary of Altered Carbon.
The script is just a bit all over the place, and the flashback episodes have great set design but the plot construction is like, a tier below Battlestar Galactica even.
I think it's at its best when it focuses on the detective plot because it's able to tell a decent neo-noir story.
The bit where Kovac and Ortega have to fight in the underground fight bunker against some weird human hybrids only to be saved by a deus ex ninja sister was pretty fucking awful, though.

Weird for a show to have such high production values with some randomly SyFy level acting and writing at times.
Enjoying AC but it's not a great sign when you're left thinking I wish more of the actors could act as well as Joel fucking Kinnaman.

Just finished Altered Carbon. Was a pretty fun show. Nothing amazing, but I liked it enough to binge it lol
The End of the Fucking World was great. Enjoyed the way the story was told and the performances.
Lasted about 40 minutes of Altered Carbon.
The Ortega acting during the conversation with her partner, and then the plot setup with Kinnaman and his benefactor...that's not for me.
