So far I'm liking Steins;Gate 0 better than the first one. There hasn't been any of the goofy animu comedy that was the weak point of the original. I keep expecting it to rear its head though.

Also damn, they are not holding anyone's hand at all here. If you didn't finish the first one this would be utterly incomprehensible. I platinumed that thing and I still keep being like "wait, how did we get to this point again?"

I'd be kinda surprised if TLoU2 was this year. It feels like we really haven't seen enough of it yet. Also not holding my breath for Shenmue 3 this year.

I want to believe in Ghost of Tsushima though. It'll have been 4 years since Sucker Punch's last game.

Of the two games I have pre-ordered for 2018 right now, I'm very confident State of Decay is good. I'm much less confident Crackdown is good.

Honestly, DQ Builders seems like the best of the recent Drakue games, which kind of shocked me because I don't care about Minecraft at all. That game was really fun and fit the aesthetics perfectly.

IX was awesome and VIII was decent fun... I get hyped for DQs until I play them and have to grind grind grind.. but IX was legit fun which gave me hope again.

I played Dragon Quest 11 on 3DS and I thought it was really good. The experience on PS4, from what I heard from others, was just better than the 3DS one despite the 2D nostalgia. The PS4 one was just a more complete experience, but like other people I am waiting for Switch because a game like this it is inconvenient to be tied to a monitor or console at home to play it.

It is my favorite since 4 and 6.

Things I did like:
The story was one of the better ones in the series, and really interesting.
I really enjoyed the characters in the game, and I find them all mostly charming and entertaining. I liked the overall character development.
Battle System Balance is simple and fun, but not much other than that.

Things I didn't like:
The difficulty was really easy for a Dragon Quest game. The kind of high encounter rate makes it more annoying. It might just be a 3DS thing, not PS4.
The BGM wasn't really as memorable as past games. Good just not many themes that I find really instantly recognizable and catching

Overall I think it is a really good game, and you would enjoy it. It isn't really too much of a grind, and it is one of the better Dragon Quest games.
It does its job well as a RPG for all audiences.

I personally think it is better. But that depends on the person and what they think their favorite one is. I think this is my favorite cast in Dragon Quest. I like the characters that much.

I think that most fans will enjoy this game. You might have some issues here and there. I think no matter what your favorite Dragon Quest is, whether it is 3, 5, 4, 6, 8 etc. 11 is in the top 3 for most fans.

My personal favorites are 4, 5, 6. After 11, my series ranking is:
5 > 11 > 3/4/6/8 > 7/9 >>> 1/2

don't get me wrong I really like 7 and 9 too.

The game is around 70 hours? It can go up to 100.

I want to play it on PS4 or Switch, it is a really pretty game. I think it would be a very different experience because with 3DS you leave a lot of it to your imagination, kind of like when you were younger before HD. But with PS4 you really get to experience the world how the team wanted you to experience and that itself is something that many should experience.

Actually, scratch that. I'll probably be catching up on 2017's games. I'm a whole year behind and I kinda prefer it that way. Nice to start a game and not be playing a full price beta.

Got Wolfenstein 2, played it through but realised I am not into fps anymore as I used to.

Looking into something like Yakuza (never ever played one of them but kinda in a mood for some GTA style of game) or Infamous, any recommendations in that direction? (PS4). I only played Horizon (loved it) and Wolfenstein last year (was ok I guess).

I was put off by all the new ones after checking out reviews and the terrible wonkiness I have seen. But I'll definitely check out Origins, thanks for the recommendation.

Yakuza 0 is fantastic and an excellent starting point. Highly recommended.

I’d second that. Relaxing game, cool environment to explore. Has some flaws here and there, but overall really enjoyable for the 20ish hours I played it for.
