By rvy Go To PostSounds about right for a no mans sky game.
By Facism Go To Post"Sea of Thieves feels like an interactive front-end for Kinect developers"
lmao.
Things like the minimal UI and the way you interact with the environment make it look similar to VR games. Maybe Rare were looking into it when they started developing this but MS decided not to go that route. It would probably be great in VR.
By Smokey Go To PostAct like you all of a sudden care about Sea of Thieves brehsI am deeply concerned Smokey.
By Facism Go To PostI wonder if you can get sea sick in VR?
You could. VR is too realistic for its own good.

By Dark PhaZe Go To PostMicrosoft really better have an insane lineup at E3After 7 years straight, people should probably give up hoping for this. If they still knew how to do it, they would have well before now.
- This a pirate fantasy roleplaying game where you can't create your own pirate (you choose from randomly generated appearances) and you can't name your pirate.
- There is basically one type of enemy in the game: Skeletons
- There are no new types of weapons or equipment to get or use. There are no upgrades. There are no levels. There are no skills or talents. There's nothing to acquire other than new skins for the things you start with.
- There are two types of boats in the game. Big boat and little boat. You don't earn or acquire either, you just start with whichever you choose in the menu.
WHY WOULD ANYONE BUY THIS
If it’s really what you want, you can just call your adult friends up on the phone and pretend to be pirates for free.
By DY_nasty Go To PostLFK got so lucky dodging the destiny 2 train
I would have caped for it so hard, too.
Freeform RP does exist, but exchanging lack of freedom to something with more consistent rules and a more accessible medium (for most folks that are apprehensive about the concept) is good.

I want Rare to catch a W for once. They like the Meg of video games developers right now.
By Laboured Go To PostState of Decay 2 could be gr8. Assume it's coming to PC too?
Most likely coming to the windows store
state of decay 1 was amazing out the box. after all the dlc and updates it was one of the best games of its type out.
2 looks better at everything from the trailers alone
sea of thieves was nothing but hope

2018 is already better than 2017 off the strength of Monster Hunter and FighterZ alone.
Kingdom hearts 3 this year too? Greatest year in the medium's history.

The hope is that they didn't ramp it up until Spencer was fully entrenched and that some of those games are now ready to show

Played Lost Legacy and am now playing rise of the tomb raider back to back.
Rise has some really nice modernization's that I missed in Uncharted--a sprint button for one, and the character progression upgrades are a nice touch. Rise is a good looking game, but doesn't approach the polish that Legacy brings to the table in terms of visuals. The animations are noticeably stiffer as well. Lara feels better to control though--she's extremely mobile. In Uncharted you're basically a tank until your character is close enough to trigger jumping on some object.
I actually had a really really good time with Lost Legacy's shooting sections, to the point where I was hoping for more. Maybe because I was playing on hard, but combat scenarios felt a bit desperate at times. Since enemies are so aggressive, you can't do the normal third person cheese until the entire room is dead. You have to prioritize targets and stay on the move. Shooting in Rise on the other hand is....god awful. I don't remember it being as bad in Tomb Raider, but it's so damn janky in Rise. Rise is still fun though. I definitely give LL the edge as a game so far, but I'm not done with Rise yet.
Not ready for Uncharted to be retired though. There's a ton of potential to shift things from treasure hunting to just straight super agent fukkery ala Fast and Furious franchise.

By Dark PhaZe Go To PostPlayed Lost Legacy and am now playing rise of the tomb raider back to back.I got Rise for 20 bucks and had a blast. The shooting is jank, but everything else is pretty much A1. Even the puzzles were a huge step up. Didn't mind backtracking either because of how areas changed up over time.

I really like the Uncharted games because there hasn’t been an action adventure movie better than that game since the first Pirates movie.

By Dark PhaZe Go To PostMicrosoft really better have an insane lineup at E3They'll for sure have Halo, Forza Horizon, and a Gears of War spinoff. I think it's too early for them to show Perfect Dark or Fable, though.
