The game is pretty fun, but it kept crashing for no reason. Getting like 100fps so it's not a performance issue
While I did enjoyed playing it yesterday, I was very disappointed with the performance on my laptop.
Even dropping the resolution to 900p would make the game run at sub 30fps at times.
Found out today that the game selects the integrated graphics as default.
Changed the configuration on the Nvidia Panel Control and I now get 60fps on 1080p with a mixture of mid to high settings.
Much better now.

A lot of the guns in this seem completely useless
Pretty annoying how visually indistinct they are, both picking them up and switching between them in a firefight.

I'm really getting addicted to this game. But goddamn, playing with randos is the worst thing about this game so far. Infuriating.

had a game where i was downed but could still see the pricks that got me so ping-spammed them so hard my bois knew where they were at all times until i got picked up lol
Won my first game, didn't fire a single bullet. My squad could not find any of the others until there was one guy left.
I can see the attraction of BR, but there's nothing about this that tells me you couldn't do it with TF movement and actual titans (and it be a lot better) with a proper game dev cycle (if they weren't putting all resources into a Star Wars game).

Traversal is frustrating when you’re not sliding about. The map is boring to look and even more boring to play. The worst thing is that the game is just too random. I’m not saying it’s impossible for a high level team to win games consistently, but the number of variables limits the impact of skill and strategy.
Obviously Respawn needed to produce something unique, but if someone like Blizzard were going to make a battle royale game I don’t think they would have done it this way. And I don’t just mean with heroes, but also by repurposing so much of an existing game and just bolting on new gameplay mechanics to try and give it an identity.

I can see why titans aren't in it, but the map feels like you're supposed to at least be able to boost jump and perhaps run more quickly
You can climb up the ropes of the hot-air balloons and do the dive like you from the plane at the start. Several of the characters also have movement based abilities. Some of them even have ones the entire team can take advantage of.
Bangalore has the speed boost when shot at, wraith has the portal, pathfinder has the zipwire, bloodhound or whatever his name is has a short boost on his ult, don't recall any other movement abilities

Pretty much same as TF2. You can also drag people to you.
Tried it out this morning, sniped a dude with the first pistol I picked up. Seems neat. Runs super well in 4K too, didn’t check my FPS but it just felt very smooth. No funky frame times or the like.

Aye they have Source engine purring by now in terms of performance. But you can really see its limitations with big open environments.
