Already footage of Abiteboul and the boys watching the Merc video in their pitbox. The next few days should be fun.
By Linius Go To PostJust waiting for the FIA or Ferrari to ask questions about this.Allison saying FIA know all about it.
FIA knowing does not make something legal or illegal.
Followed it a bit today and Mercedes is trying to convince it is a steering device, both in the presser with Allison and the name of the device (Dual Axis Steering), to make it fit in a "grey" part of the rules. Other teams are probably going to argue it is not a steering device (car not turning), or that you would need to activate the system (press button, would be illegal) or that it is active aero (less drag).
Will no doubt see/here more about it in the coming days and no doubt some questions from other teams will be dropped in the FIA's lap.
Amazing how bullet prove cars have become at the end of this hybrid (2014) era, only one red flag in the last 10 minutes.

Yeah I can't see other teams sitting there and doing nothing when they notice the Mercs are getting faster because of this. If it turns out to be legal I suppose the rest will follow asap. Gonna be interesting, at least it brings some excitement today.
Also, this wholesome foto of Max and Ocon deserves to be posted. Proud bring of peace Albon.

Of course, every F1 innovation is through teams trying to cheat. But im not sure that is making it to Australia
By KP Go To PostOff work today.Have a back log of series to go through, but the last one was OK if you did not take it all to serious, so will get it later for some good fun.
Drive to survive season 2.
Fate
And biggest news is released when testing is done about last years Ferrari PU, sounds to me like they were cheating.
Max redeemed :P
Presume we need new thread for new season, will have a look next week unless we go on here?
I will not talk any more about drive to survive until I know the age of Alex Albons sister for legal reasons
How are Ferrari looking now?
I think we should go with a new thread.

Ferrari has more downforce, still less than the other two. Power gap seems gone, quelle surprise, so they do not have the straight line speed to make up for lack of cornering speed.
Would put Mercedes, they did have power unit issues that they need to get on top of, just ahead of the RB16 amd Ferarri as 3rd. But hard to read this year because the top teams did not do race simulations on the same moment.
FIa's settlement with Ferrari to make the Ferrari power-unit story go away isn't going very smoothly.
By Linius Go To Postlooks great, hope longer "straight" helps with the racing.
Sky F1 just showed a replay of the Belgium GP from 1998. Probably the most spectacular crash in F1 history?
By noal Go To PostSky F1 just showed a replay of the Belgium GP from 1998. Probably the most spectacular crash in F1 history?start crash probably, amazing how everyone was trying to get to their t-car for 2nd start. lol
Remember also a bad one in Melbourne early 2000 (ralf flying over a Ferrari and madness behind) and some footage of an early 70s crash, with a car standing still and 1/2 field driving in to it, think old Silverstone.
Normal crash, 1st one that comes to mind is Webber/Alonso in Brazil.
[edit] Find some on YouTube, would have never happened with Bernie still in power ;)
