By Moris Go To PostSmokey's too old for the precision required in Souls games. He really ain't shit without auto aim
Its apparently directed by Miyazaki so thats good enough for me.
Edit: Or at least that was the original rumor. I see that is debated now. Oh well.

The same annual release cycle videogame fans criticize in series like Call of Duty for
I like Demon's Souls as a rough experiment, and Dark Souls as further refinement of that experiment.
I don't like these games at all as an annual AAA release. Alot of the interesting design aspects of the first game have become tired and intrusive after 2-3 revisions.
The age of these games being cult darlings is over. About to be an annual franchise and ran into the ground. Hipster gamers will soon need another series to over rate and flock to.
By Vlatko Go To PostIs this the B team again?sure sounds like it. It perfectly fits the 2.5 years development cycle
By Yurt Go To Postsure sounds like it. It perfectly fits the 2.5 years development cycleI just hope they learned some lessons. I liked the DS2 world but the loss of interconnectivity of the areas made it more like a final fantasy game. Combat was good though.

Combat was good though. Not only that, but the bosses and some areas felt copy-pasted and familiar. It's their chance for redemption :p
I hope so but it's really hard for me to get in into DS combat after Bloodborne, especially with the stupid hitboxes in DS2.

I really love the Souls output right now, but this B-team has to convince me. Scholar of the first sin had the same shit hitboxes and groups attacking you farther into the area and were aggro very early. Not really clever AI or anything. Its still a good game but nowhere near the others.

I don't get it either.
If the games are all quality and fun, who cares if they release one every few years. I've yet to see them go the route of COD.
By EldritchTrapStar Go To PostI don't get it either. It's because Bloodborne came in between DS2 and DS3.

But there is a 2,5 years dev time after DS2 release. Looks like Myazaki wont do another Dark Souls game anymore.
