Siliconera has learnt that Square Enix are developing a Final Fantasy VII remake for PlayStation 4.
The Final Fantasy VII remake will use a more modern art style for Cloud, similar to his appearance in Dissidia Final Fantasy or Final Fantasy VII: Advent Children. It is being created to celebrate the 20th anniversary of Final Fantasy VII.
(And no, this isn’t the Final Fantasy VII port for PlayStation 4 that was previously announced by Square.)
Kikizo didn't die after announcing Shenmue III. Siliconera will be fine when this turns out to be BS.

FFVII isn;t remakable. Has anyone played it lately? A lot of wacky shit happens in that gamethat would not fly in today industry and the dialog would sound really dumb when spoken out loud (which is why people hate the VO of the new FF games...it's not the VO but the silly shit they have to say...).

Like right after Aeris is murdered, there's a comedy bit at the Icicle Inn with the Turks and then you're snowboarding. Oh my god. This doesn't even touch on like the cross dressing and implied rape.
