1. I thought you weren't supposed to wash your car in sunlight anyway?
2. Why the fuck would you pay for a six figure and go to a car wash? get that shit professionally cleaned

Cars with actual paint the only reason you don't want to wash it in the sunlight directly is because it dries too quick and the water stains on the clearcoat, but it's not actually bad or toxic.
With the Cybertruck and it just being raw metal, it actually is.

They used a low grade of stainless. 301 stainless was made as cheap substitute for 304 stainless and has twice the carbon. It’s just like a kitchen knife. Low carbon, high chromium alloys are dishwasher safe and harder higher carbon stainless are not. 316 stainless starts adding molybdenum to the alloy.
For a quick comparison
301 = .15% carbon and 16-18% chromium
304 = .08% carbon and 18% chromium
316 = .08% cabon increases nickel, adds molybdenum and maintains 16% chromium
316L = .03% carbon max with most else equal to 316
They should have put a clear coat on the fucking thing. Of the above mentioned, only 316 was developed to handle saline environments. 304 will corrode I a saline environment
