This season has been fun.
Really glad Vasseur seems to be bringing sanity to Ferrari.
Remove max, and it's an interesting season.
Perez, Lecler, Sainz, Norris fighting for p2.
Piastri, Russell, Alonso fighting for P6.

Has Newey leaving been confirmed, or is it all jus unconfirmed stuff still?
Because i mean, every team wants him, like everyone wants Max. But Newey seems to get to do whatever he wants at Redbull.

By FortuneFaded Go To PostIt’s all official. He submitted a letter of resignation to Red Bull.Oh. that's huge then.
Cmon Fred!

Just want to skip to 2026 already.
Max isn't going to change a team for the money, so good luck with that Toto. And unless the situation at RBR gets even worse (infighting Aus/Thai) he is not leaving now (unless contractual this mess creates opening to get out of it and waiting for 27/28 to long)
Great that Adrian is free from early '25, thought RBR would hold him to his contract, but great they remembered what he did for them and let him go early, so he can work on next rule change.
If no retirement
- Ferrari obvious one, specially with media/FOM pressure fully pushing to that outcome. But if Ferrari get the engine right, you might just role in to the next era of domination
- Aston, him and Lawrance? Other side probably team were het gets the most freedom to do what he wants
- Mercedes, they need him but cannot see him fit in that structure at all
- Leftfield, Williams, back to beginnings of building an underdog in a competitor. With how Adrian ticks I would not even rule something weird like that out
Do hope we here it soon, otherwise the constant speculation is gonna kill all normal F1 fun.

By FortuneFaded Go To PostWhy not? You don't know him.No of course not, but 10 years of interviews and before that a decade with his dad, money isn't going to be a reason.
It is only about a completive car and feeling well within in a team. So as mentioned I do not see him changing now, unless the team further collapses or and contractual it is the only way to get out early {before '27, car not competive enough clause)
The biggest reason to not switch is, Why mercedes? They're going backwards, and seemingly have made a ton of poor decisions to get there. A chunk of which was based on ignoring your own driver.
The timing of max's out clause is genius tbh. No one really knows who will be top in 2026. And if max wants to chase as many titles as he can, the best way to pick up his next title will be to stay with redbull for 2025. At which point he's there long term.

By FortuneFaded Go To PostIt's just a coincidence he is already the highest paid driver on the grid.Being the best driver and willing to commit that long to a team gets you paid the going rate. (see Lewis contract), And competitive car was there already.
Do not think Christian and Co expexted Max to score that manny points, his bonus would probably have been a lot lower.
RaceWeek vamos a Miami for R6 the Miami GP
Looks dry and nice weather, 28C for the weekend. So track somewhat warmer and back to being a more rear-limited than last race. First race weekend with some bigger update packages for McL and Merc.
With RBR20 better in slow speed than RBR19, it is probably Max than:
- Sergio, last year slow S1 can he, like in Suzuka, find the speed to be closer to Max this year
- Ferrari, think back to 2nd best now we are back to traction important and warmer track (good this year on tire deg control)
- McLaren, first big update but it does not seam the one to address their low speed problems so S2 (chicane/under bridge section) might be their problem
- Aston, see no reason for Fernando to be there or there about in Q, tire deg race though?
- Mercedes, bringing forward the Imola update to address some of their issues on the car, so lets wait and see. But track lay-out should be better for them than the last one.
- Midfield Unless Alpine update(s) really worked, for me it is between Hulk and the RBs again.

looks I wasn't to far off with my best Max improve FF
Max Verstappen not interested mega Mercedes offer
"My future is within Red Bull at the moment. Even if that were to be the case [earning €150m], money would not be the difference to make me go somewhere else,” Verstappen told the written press in Miami, including Total-Motorsport.com.
A reporter chimed in asking if £213m (€250m) would be enough to tempt him, but Verstappen was adamant in his response: “250? No. I’m happy with what I’m earning already.
“I know myself, and if I’m driving for P5 or P6, you get quite grumpy with yourself. It’s always about performances at the end of the day, everyone knows that and Toto also knows that.”
