I’d like to think we (read: white people) had more decorum than to vote Trump in as president, but looks like a lot of illusions we had about this country are being broken since 2016.

I mean, four presidents have been assassinated on U.S. soil, Reagan got shot and sent to the hospital, FDR survived an attempt just days before his inauguration and I'm pretty sure others have thrown stuff like little flags at plenty of presidents before.
I think people forget just how much the president isn't actually all that respected sometimes.
