Truth Or Dare has to be one of the dumbest, poorly written horror movies of the last few years.
The characters are extremely unlikable, the plot is stupid and many things don't make any sense.
They clearly set up a sequel at end, which it's a likely thing to happen for a movie that made 100M$ on a 3.5M$ budget, and I would like to see how they make it without turning the main character in a horrible person.

By Elchele Go To PostSicario 2 was very bad, I don't get the praise it got here.It wasn’t bad but it wasn’t good either lol

EDIT: I can't tell if the plot is complcated, poorly written, or both.
Warner Bros has confirmed that James Gunn will write Suicide Squad 2 and could possibly direct it.
This will be very interesting.

Good fit. Honestly I don't see Guardians continuing too far beyond Guardians 3. That's not to say Marvel can't use him but yea.
Saw Venom. It was...okay. I was entertained. I see a lot of potential in improving it, there's a decent enough base there. Just a matter of the right script and director.
Could also see a venom and spidey flick being fun if Marvel and Sony are interested.

Was fairly unmoved by Jeannette, l'enfance de Jeanne d'Arc but fair play for being the first Joan of Arc biopic to feature dabbing.
By Moris Go To PostI saw venom.
and how was it
By Hitch Go To PostAny good westerns that revolve around the planning of a train robbery?Wait no. The only one I can think of is Butch Cassidy but yeah, that isnt a heist movie.
The First Purge turned into The Raid: Black People's edition. I love this series.
I kinda wish they dialed back on the comic book villains (Crackhead Voorhees was breaking the movie for me)some and made one that's actually frightening.
I would have never guessed that these movies would be some of the only films with something to actually say, after how bad that first one was; even with it's commentary on both white and minority veterans.

Venom will overcome Solo's box office run in the next few days. It's turning in a great success for Sony.
First Man was great. It did a really admirable job demonstrating how fragile, dangerous, clausterphobic, and at times perilous the moon mission was, in order to come together in the end to showcase one hell of an incredibly shot moon landing.
Chazelle dis a great job directing this one, as it was beautifully shot.
Space, fuck yeah.

Saw The Ballad of Buster Scruggs the other day. Its beautifully shot, well acted and well written but as a collection of short films its biggest problem as a film is that it is a collection of short films. Worth watching though.
By Doncicic Go To PostChazelle will never top Whiplash and that makes me sad.His only great movie. What a film.
Vampire's Kiss
Perhaps the quintessential Nic Cage film? I am convinced that Nic Cage is actually a performance artist whose performance isn't acting, but disrupting (and ultimately defining) the essence of every film he's in. But the true genius of his act is that occasionally, without warning, he commits to great acting -- so you're never really sure what to think of him.

By Spengo Go To PostVampire's KissGiantBomb's Film & 40's introduced me to this riot of a film. So good to see the alphabet scene in context with his petulant attitude after reciting it. And to your point the scene on the streets is appropriately disruptive.

Painfully stupid. So bad you should probably watch it.
Saw The Man Who Killed Don Quioxte the other day. It was good but for a film that was 30 years in the making and that overcame numerous production problems it had built expectations up so high that in the end it left me thinking it probably wasn't worth spending that much time or effort on it.
By reilo Go To PostHow does Tessa Thompson keep getting casted at all?
I mean, yea, but specifically casting her in something like MiB that requires comedic chops? Hollywood pls
Man....just saw ’I Saw The Devil’ for the first time. Extremely disturbing film but so well-made. Could have done without the long runtime but it was paced smoothly so nothing really made it a slog.
The Night Comes For Us was quite entertaining.
It has to be one of the goriest action movies ever with every kill being a bloody mess and the body count reaching triple digits.

Sukiyaki Western Django kinda features a train robbery.
And then there's Red Sun if you can find it.

Know what I’m watching this weekend.
There's a chance that Venom ends up doing more on the WW box office than Justice League.
I don't what's more surprising, how big of a hit Venom or how much Warner Bros fucked up.

By Lupercal Go To PostAssassination of Jesse James deserves a shout..I have a love hate relationship with that film, cinematography is excellent and I get what they were trying to do and I'd rather see more films try to be better even if they fail at it, but it just missed the mark for me.
