It would be okay calling it a movie if every 20-40 year old in the western world wasn’t creaming themselves over it
Im excited to watch the movie, but yeah
There are people out there who actually hoped the trailer doesnt spoil the name of the movie in the title so they can find out themselves while watching it.
How some people can be so caught up in MCEU culture is beyond me.

Consumerism is a bitch man.
people enjoy things, its fine. I probably get more caught up in people trying to put a ball through cylinder than any Marvel fanboy about a movie.
By DY_nasty Go To Postoh so this is a 'its so popular that i must hate it' thing
No. It just clearly isn’t a kids movie is it?
Nothing to do with its popularity - only a page ago in this thread Laboured brought up that I’m a Hamilton stan. My breh your reading comprehension needs to improve
It stuns me how much debate and strong opinion the Marvel films provoke
They're good fun at best, forgettable at worst. Nothing worth getting excited about, nothing worth getting your knickers in a twist over.

The thing that gets me is that we're letting n8, a noted Star Wars fan, freely talk about what is good or bad in a movie. It's like if we were getting driving tips from Stevie Wonder.
By Dark PhaZe Go To Postthey really not trying to let us know anything in that avengers trailer smhOther than Paul Rudd got out of the Quantum zone and the plan will take them into the Quantum zone to correct things.

Such a funny film.
I do know a Belgium joke. What's Belgium famous for? Chocolates and child abuse, and they only invented the chocolates to get to the kids.

paul getting out is going to be him like, just having a button to get out, that's the only explanation
but without spoilers I really don't see how you could possibly come up with the latter point...
I'll watch a lot of things but having opinions on something that I'm supposed to turn my brain off for anyway is just beyond me these days.
gotta keep the same energy

They mention time pockets for a specific reason
I'm protesting even watching the Avengers 4 trailer because they uploaded it in a hard-coded letterbox format.
It's the least effective protest of all time.

Good acting as expected from Ben Foster. Impressive job by the actress playing daughter in the film. If you like the outdoors (Smokey), then it captures the lushness of forests and wooded area. My problem is that it make being homeless or a drifter into something that seems like it's no big deal. I guess if you're white it's even easier. That makes me just feel like the movie is too far on the fantastical end to be fully believable.

Remember that movie produced by James Gunn that was supposed to be presented at Comic Con but Sony cancelled the panel and delayed the trailer due to Gunn's Twitter controversy?
Well, the trailer was released this week and it's basically a "what if Superman turned evil when he was a kid?".
Could be decent.

If Gunn wasn't tight with DC now, I don't know how the premise of this film wouldn't end up in court. Blatantly stealing imagery from Supes/Man of Steel, which would be totally fine if...it wasn't produced by Sony Pictures? Bizarre.

I mean ant-man
I just saw someone mention this, and it occurs to me that it might very well be correct: Is 2018 the worst year for film for many years? I can't think of a worse selection from my own memory. Perhaps the only film I really felt was high quality this year has been Annihilation, and though December is normally the period for a sudden rush of Oscar contenders, the release slate is still looking pretty barren as far as I can see.
Haven´t seen many films this year but BlacKKKlansman, You Were Never Really Here, Mission Impossible : Fallout and A Quiet Place were great. There are tons of movies that I want to see that are supposedly good like Roma, First Man, First Reformed, A Private War, A Star Is Born, Widows, Cold War, Searching, Sorry To Bother You, The Favourite, Burning, Private Life, Shoplifters, The Death Of Stalin and Eight Grade.
Doesn't feel like a bad year for film at all. You had some great movies in pretty much every genre.
