1. I thought you weren't supposed to wash your car in sunlight anyway?
2. Why the fuck would you pay for a six figure and go to a car wash? get that shit professionally cleaned

Cars with actual paint the only reason you don't want to wash it in the sunlight directly is because it dries too quick and the water stains on the clearcoat, but it's not actually bad or toxic.
With the Cybertruck and it just being raw metal, it actually is.

They used a low grade of stainless. 301 stainless was made as cheap substitute for 304 stainless and has twice the carbon. It’s just like a kitchen knife. Low carbon, high chromium alloys are dishwasher safe and harder higher carbon stainless are not. 316 stainless starts adding molybdenum to the alloy.
For a quick comparison
301 = .15% carbon and 16-18% chromium
304 = .08% carbon and 18% chromium
316 = .08% cabon increases nickel, adds molybdenum and maintains 16% chromium
316L = .03% carbon max with most else equal to 316
They should have put a clear coat on the fucking thing. Of the above mentioned, only 316 was developed to handle saline environments. 304 will corrode I a saline environment

After performing a series of tests, it decided on April 12 to issue a recall after determining that “[a]n unapproved change introduced lubricant (soap) to aid in the component assembly of the pad onto the accelerator pedal,” and that “[r]esidual lubricant reduced the retention of the pad to the pedal.”
By DiPro Go To Postunfortunately the stock will probably drop a whole lot if he walks away.
That's because the business world is full of Smart Business People.

I like blue sky and kinda hope it doesn’t blow up becuae social media just seems impossible at that scale

Yea it's the only shame. Meta doesn't seem very interested in courting them, either. They need a Tweetdeck like separate app for the real-time crowd, and they need to do a better job uplifting that. Having the "Following" tab not stick is a huge detriment as well. I think they're just really afraid of live-tweeting political content.
their 100k car is barely holding together, i fear for the world when they actually launch a cheap one.

Like it's not funny people are dying, but the fact people lap this tech up and make excuses is wild.

In 59 crashes examined by NHTSA, the agency found that Tesla drivers had enough time, “five or more seconds,” prior to crashing into another object in which to react. In 19 of those crashes, the hazard was visible for 10 or more seconds before the collision. Reviewing crash logs and data provided by Tesla, NHTSA found that drivers failed to brake or steer to avoid the hazard in a majority of the crashes analyzed.
“Crashes with no or late evasive action attempted by the driver were found across all Tesla hardware versions and crash circumstances,” NHTSA said.

I'm very confused by that statement coming from some who appears to have a lot of experience, even if they are a little crazy. A new taxi service will do nearly 20 times what Walmart, Saudi Aramco, and Amazon do in revenue in just 6 years?
Surely she just misspoke and meant Billion, right?

By Pac-2 Go To PostShe's a noted Tesla bull, maybe she's trying to bullshit her way to a pump and dump.
ARKK five year looks like a pump n dump lol
i assume she means world wide? but no country except the US (okay maybe the UAE too) will allow robotaxis by 2030.
even if everyone allowed it it would never reach that number.
