And the 1st round is finally done...
Wow... not sure I was going to do it but finished it. Six 1st round trades, that feels like a record.

The important thing is 1 Duke Blue Devil quarterback to the New York football Giants. That's the takeaway.
I listened to the audio recording at the airport that is allegedly him and his wife talking and it sounds really weird... if that's him and his wife this dude is unbalanced as fuck.
Chiefs GM Brett Veach stated Tyreek Hill "will not be partaking in any team activities."Dude is DONE.
"Earlier this evening we were made aware of the audio between Tyreek and Crystal [Espinal]," Veach affirmed in a team statement. "We were deeply disturbed by what we heard and are deeply concerned. Our main focus main concern is with the young child." The recording obtained by CBS Kansas City included Hill telling Espinal, "You need to be terrified of me, too, (expletive)." It wasn't stated outright, but Hill will effectively stay suspended while the team gathers and reviews all of the information. If verified, this could very well make for the end of the wideout's NFL career.
Angie Ricono of KCTV5 reports the criminal case against Tyreek Hill and his fiancee Crystal Espinal for alleged child abuse has been reopened following the release of new audio Thursday.
Police had been investigating Hill for allegedly breaking his three-year-old's arm. Johnson County District Attorney Steve Howe announced Wednesday that his department would not pursue criminal charges against Hill due to lack of evidence, but Thursday's audio leaked by CBS Kansas City made them decide to reopen the case. In the 11-minute recording, the wide receiver seemingly incriminates himself while also threatening his fiancee. GM Brett Veach said Thursday that Hill would not be present for team activities while the Chiefs looked into his abuse allegations, but it's time for them to take a much stronger stance. We'd be surprised if Hill made it through the weekend with his roster spot intact and it's quite possible the troubled wideout has played his last NFL down.
I got home late, so no 2nd round board....
Dolphins acquired QB Josh Rosen from the Cardinals in exchange for the No. 62 pick in the 2019 NFL Draft and a fifth-rounder in 2020.
The deal stalled for a few hours—reports surfaced Friday that Arizona was seeking the 48th pick from Miami—but the Dolphins became the obvious front-runner for Rosen after the Giants and Redskins both addressed their quarterback needs in Round 1. It was clear Rosen had no interest in remaining with Arizona after the team drafted reigning Heisman winner Kyler Murray as his replacement Thursday night. Rosen was dreadful as a rookie but he had no help in Arizona and was hung out to dry by an inept coaching staff. The No. 10 overall pick in last year's draft should immediately slot in as the Dolphins' starter, relegating journeyman Ryan Fitzpatrick to backup status. Arizona used the 62nd pick to draft UMass wideout Andy Isabella.
There's your QB
Panthers selected West Virginia QB Will Grier with the No. 100 overall pick in the 2019 NFL Draft. He's a nice sleeper.
The Panthers needed to find a quality backup behind Cam Newton, and Grier should be just that. Grier (6’3/217) transferred from Florida to West Virginia for his final two seasons, where he went 15-7 with a 66% completion rate at 9.4 yards per attempt and a 71:20 TD-INT ratio. Excelling in Mike Leach disciple Dana Holgorsen’s Air Raid spread, Grier cleared 300 yards in 19-of-22 starts. As a 66th-percentile SPARQ athlete, Grier offers plus mobility and standout accuracy, and he clocked 59-MPH ball velocity on the Combine radar gun, the best mark of all quarterbacks in Indy. Knocked by some as a "system quarterback," Grier’s college tape reveals an aggressive gunslinger with some similarities to Tony Romo.
A lot of solid picks going late now, I'm surprised how deep the draft is. A lot of guys in the 7th round with 3rd-5th round grades on Walter Football and ESPN/NFL mocks.
And now for the last pick of the 2019 NFL Draft "Mr. Irrelevant"
Cardinals selected UCLA TE Caleb Wilson with the No. 254 overall and final pick of the 2019 NFL Draft.Dude has no blocking chops, he's a pure slot/vertical TE.
Ladies and gentlemen, your 2019 Mr. Irrelevant. Wilson (6’4/240) turned pro as a redshirt junior after tallying a career 114/1,675/5 (14.7 YPR) receiving line as just a 17-game starter. He earned 2018 first-team All-Pac 12 accolades with single-season UCLA records in catches (60) and receiving yards (965) in 2018. Straight-line fast (4.56) with long arms (33"), Wilson is an F tight end with outstanding timed top-end speed who flashes good burst after the catch. Wilson offers minimal blocking utility but offers many NFL-caliber traits from a pass-catching standpoint. New Cardinals coach Kliff Kingsbury should be able to utilize Wilson's pass-catching skills.

The New York Giants' sixth-round pick Corey Ballentine has been injured in a shooting in which his university team-mate Dwane Simmons was killed.
The shooting happened "off campus" in Topeka, Kansas, early on Sunday.
The pair, both 23, played for Washburn Ichabods but Ballentine - who is expected to make a full recovery - had just been picked in the NFL draft.
Seahawks signed DE Ezekiel Ansah, formerly of the Lions, to a one-year deal.
Seattle emerged as the frontrunner for Ansah's services Wednesday afternoon. A few short weeks after shipping DE Frank Clark to Kansas City, the Seahawks have quietly patchworked an edge rush with No. 29 overall pick L.J. Collier and the ex-Lions end. Given the lack of depth behind its new starters, Seattle will still undoubtedly be looking to add depth in the summer behind Ansah's one-year "prove it" deal.
ESPN's Adam Schefter reports free agent TE Ben Watson, formerly of the Saints, has decided to unretire and agreed to terms with the Patriots on a one-year, $3 million contract.this ho
Going on 39, Watson briefly retired following the Saints' gutting NFC Championship Game loss, but he will return to the franchise that made him a first-round pick all the way back in 2004. Watson spent the first six years of his career in New England, winning the Super Bowl as a rookie. He never caught more than 49 balls as a Pat, and even with Rob Gronkowski retired, Watson is unlikely to clear that number after posting a 35/400/2 line in 2018. Watson will be competing for looks with lead-footed Austin Seferian-Jenkins in Foxborough. He could emerge as a matchup-based play in fantasy.
Jaguars LB Telvin Smith has announced he will not play in 2019.Might be drug rehab.
"At this time I must take time away from this game and get my world in order," Smith said in an Instagram post. "I must give this time back to myself, my family and my health." The word "retirement" was never mentioned. Smith rumors have been percolating for some time now, while the Jags have loaded up on linebackers, including a potential third-round replacement in Quincy Williams. Now 28, Smith remained an every-down player last season, though his effectiveness fell off from an elite 2017. He still managed to notch a sack, two interceptions and a forced fumble in addition to 134 tackles. It is entirely unclear what is causing Smith to step away.
Seahawks released/failed physical WR Doug Baldwin.Wow. Body was just too beat up to continue.
It paves the way for Baldwin to officially retire. Baldwin had reportedly been holding off on making a public announcement until he was cut. The release was necessary for arcane financial reasons related to NFL rules. A 2011 UDFA, Baldwin made an immediate impact out of the slot, posting a 51/788/4 line as a rookie. He was similarly productive until 2014, when he exploded for 14 touchdowns and his first 1,000-yard campaign. Baldwin had remained in the upper echelon of receivers since but was increasingly beset by injury woes, including a season-long knee issue in 2018. Although still only 30, Baldwin made the determination that his body could simply no longer hold up to the rigors of NFL football. For their part, the Seahawks aggressively addressed receiver in the draft. Tyler Lockett is the new No. 1 in Seattle.
Seahawks released/failed physical S Kam Chancellor.
It is a procedural move, as 31-year-old Chancellor has not played since 2017 and announced last summer that he could not get cleared to return from his neck injury. An integral part of the Seahawks' "Legion of Boom" secondary, Chancellor was a hard-hitting, turnover-forcing machine who made four Pro Bowls

NFL Football Operations announced the pass interference replay rule has been approved for the 2019 season only.
How "Hail Mary" plays will be handled under the new system had been a point of contention, but the announcement video confirms all passing plays inside the two-minute warning are subject to review. According to Football Ops, replay officials will have "stricter criteria" for stopping the game to look at pass interference than other plays. With the rule approved for 2019 only, the league will have the option to scrap it or make dramatic changes if it proves to be an issue this season.
Well his career is over.
Giants S Kamrin Moore has been charged with third-degree aggravated assault for allegedly "punching a woman and knocking her unconscious after stepping on her neck in a domestic violence incident."
The incident happened outside of Moore's New Jersey home last Thursday evening. He is alleged to have "placed his foot" on the woman’s neck and "punched her in the face with a closed fist and causing her to lose consciousness." A 2018 sixth-round pick of the Saints, Moore made two rookie appearances for the Giants. This will end his NFL career.
The NFL announced it will not suspend Tyreek Hill, who was accused of assaulting his son earlier in the offseason. This dude was pegged for an 8 game suspension until details came up about his ex lying about some things and possibly setting him up on others. Let's see if he learns from this.
The NFL conducted a four-month investigation on the matter and determined there was insufficient evidence that Hill violated the personal-conduct policy. When news of this matter initially broke months ago, things looked extremely troubling for Hill. There were some seriously incriminating quotes straight from his mouth, but the NFL didn't find anything to suspend him. By the end of it, cracks in the case began to split open, and it appeared Hill might have been set up by his ex-fiance. Hill is now free to report to camp and go about his normal routine, for better or worse. For fantasy purposes, he shoots right back up to WR1 status and should be going in the first or second rounds of drafts.
By RATHasReturned Go To PostInjuries manWhat injuries? The mystery calf injury that the Colts keep misdiagnosing?
ESPN's Adam Schefter reports that Andrew Luck has informed the Colts he is retiring from the NFL.
Per Schefter, Luck is "mentally worn down" and has already informed owner Jim Irsay of his intentions. It's the most stunning NFL news of the decade. Two years removed from a lost season to a shoulder injury, Luck had not practiced all summer as he dealt with a mysterious calf/ankle issue. It is perfectly reasonable to wonder if that was a ruse for a player struggling with his NFL future. Viewed as a once-in-a-decade type prospect when he entered the league out of Stanford in 2012, Luck produced a 2014-15 AFC Championship Game appearance and a pair of 39-touchdown campaigns. He took a massive beating in the process, playing behind shaky offensive lines while being cavalier with his body. Jacoby Brissett will now be under center Week 1. Although he is arguably the best backup in the league, Brissett will likely be a bottom-tier starter.
