By Kibner Go To PostI kinda dig this one… Is that a Ghost S1?Aye. Not sure if it’s in silver/limestone or custom painted though.
So my rocket league settings are set to max 165fps
But when I'm playing the game, in the top right corner, there's a tiny fps counter and it's locked at 60 at all times
What do

By Wahabipapangus Go To Postdo you have vsync turned on?You are a genius

Thanks

Another thing I get screen tearing on fortnite for some reason?
It didn't always happen but has happened since season 9 or so
What setting typically causes that?

By FootbalIFan Go To PostAnother thing I get screen tearing on fortnite for some reason?Make sure you have g-sync enabled (full screen and windowed) in the Nvidia Control Panel. Could be that.

By FootbalIFan Go To PostIs that GeForce experience? No, right click on the Nvidia icon and select NVIDIA Control Panel. In there, go to Set up G-SYNC and enable it, in case it isn't.
Thanks just found it. Had it enabled for full screen, changed to windowed and full screen I'll test it out now
That's odd. Surprised tearing is an issue in Fortnite with or without g-sync, the game should be running at high enough fps for it to be largely unnoticeable (I'm assuming you're playing with most settings on low, as any extreme gamer would) either way.
Check under Manage 3D Settings, make sure that you don't have g-sync disabled for Fortnite for some reason. And enable the g-sync indicator (Display -> G-SYNC Indicator), so you'll know that it's actually working in-game.
Also, make sure your monitor is actually running at 144hz, lol.

When I go manage 3d settings, and find fortnite, there is no g sync enabled/disabled area
It has image sharpening, anisotropic filtering, antialiasing - fxaa, antialiasing - gamma correction, antialiasing - mode, antialiasing - setting, antialiasing - transparency, CUDA - GPUs, Low Latency Mode, Monitor Technology, Multi Frame Sampled AA(MFAA) etc
Kill me Allah
I can see vertical sync
Options are

Oh my God
So the settings on my monitor were set to 165hz
But in the windows settings it seems to have reset to 59hz(???) 😔
This must've happened in the last 3 months or so cause all my games have been running weird since then

Yeah, it's good practice to check your desktop / Windows refresh rate settings when you install a new Nvidia driver. Sometimes it gets reset.

I thought my PC was dying cause everything seemed slow, clunky and frames tearing
Like you said my graphics settings for everything except view distance and antialiasing were set to low, should I set antialiasing to low as well?
razer,,,, RAZER? Surprised that they finally made something good again.
Will have to go and test it in person. Although I am having trouble with my model O (one of the buttons sticking slightly sometimes), I feel like it's the perfect mouse for me. I got tiny hands, and kind of wondering if I should try out the Model O-, or the Model D when that comes out, which seems to be close to EC2 in shape.

By FootbalIFan Go To PostLike you said my graphics settings for everything except view distance and antialiasing were set to low, should I set antialiasing to low as well? No, antialiasing and anisotropic filtering should be enabled, preferably to their highest setting (definitely filtering, as it has almost no impact on performance). You can set everything else to low, if you like, but these two should be on.
So I have been thinking about building a new PC, it's been a few years since I've had a desktop.
Haven't been keeping much attention to the PC gaming. I should be able to get something decent for around 1000€, no?

I may have finally found a case I can see as an "upgrade" from my NCase. Depending on what the performance difference is like between unrestricted airflow through a thicker 360mm rad vs my current set up with unrestricted airflow through a standard 240mm rad and partially restricted airflow through a 20mm 240mm rad.
I don't know, looks quite big for a sff case.
Your ultimate goal should be a "case" where all the components are basically smashed together and vacuum wrapped with cooking paper.

By FootbalIFan Go To PostI don't get how or which way that standsIt's a vertical case, so it stands upright with the radiator at the back of the case. I/O comes out the top but is covered. Takes up roughly the same amount of space on a desk as an A4 sheet of paper.
thinking about a gpu upgrade within the next 6 months to get that sweet sweet 144hz/1440p. would a 2080 super be bottlenecked with my i5-7600k?
also horseshit intel locks out older gen bios for cpu upgrades despite the 1151 sockets

Yes. i5s are quickly becoming outdated. I would definitely upgrade that first.
Also, 6 months we could possibly see new GPUs. I'd focus on the CPU but that does require a new motherboard and RAM 😬

I will be moving to a new place in a few days. Whenever a move comes up you always look at the crap you have that much harder. What are some decent mATX boards? Along with mATX cases? My Air 540 has served me well for years, but seriously think I want to down size (but not to ITX level).
Currently rocking a Maximus XI Extreme. I see there's a Maximus XI Gene, but its $400.
Vapes? Diehard? Kib?

By Kibner Go To PostYou can look at that spreadsheet I posted a few days ago for AMD boards. :v
By Smokey Go To PostYes. i5s are quickly becoming outdated. I would definitely upgrade that first. The Gene is the only mATX board I would go near tbh. The rest tend to be very subpar. There’s the X399 ASRock mATX board that’s worthwhile too.

I’d sooner suggest just getting a compact ATX case. There’s the cheaper Core G3 by Thermaltake and the expensive Cerberus X by Sliger.
By Adam Go To PostWhich Corsair Vengeance Rgb Pro ram kit should I buy, lads? Looking at 32 GB, in white.3200 should be fine. You'd pay about 100€/$ more for 32gb of 3600 ram and I don't think it's worth it. Unless money isn't an issue.
