Almost joined FF#? in the broken leg ranks in indoor tonight. Goalie came out to pickup a loose ball and I tried to nip in and touch it in. Next thing I know I'm landing upside down and I can't feel from my right knee down.
Once I realized I was fine I looked over and the goalie was knocked the fuck out. He came to eventually.
Guess it's just a bad ankle sprain from the whiplash of it. He def got a concussion though at the least.

Sven was an oddball, Capello a miserable wage-thief, McLaren was just completely out of his depth, Hodgson just coasted by on his reputation as a nice guy while being a snide, incompetent goon.
Southgate is far from perfect, especially his in-game management, but he's always trying to do the right thing, for the short and medium term, and talks a shitload of sense.
Considering the biggest task for the manager post-Allerdyce was to get the country interested in and backing the England team again, nevermind being competetive in tournaments, the FA got it absolutely spot on hiring Southgate.
I genuinely don't think people would be anything like as positive as they are if we'd had the exact same performances and results but with the manager, team and general atmosphere around the set-up as there was 3 or so years ago.

I do think this is the best England team I've seen in my lifetime, certainly in terms of techinical ability and in generally having a plan and style of play.
At my parents house since my dad got sick last week so told them I'd pay them a visit.
Only for them not to be here and at an aerospace convention for the rest of the week. 😒

The current English team has excellent synergy amongst themselves. They play fluidly, have athletic qualities and are pacey af.
I don't want to pour bleach in my eyes when I watch them.

It's weird too cus our entire central midfield and central defence kinda suck but it works better than the sum of its part.

England is literally the spurs of the international scene

Haha thanks Kevin
people probably overestimate how much effect weaker players have on the international scene; apart from France, every team is filling up their first XI and squad with some journeymen, and even then the recent France squad is a ridiculous anomaly from a historical perspective. What's important is not to fall into the mistake of past England teams and try to squeeze in all the best players instead of having a balanced team.
Just noticed that video of the NI fans chanting about Catholics is in the Royal Bar, Sandy Row. Don't know if they still have it but they were flying Confederate flags last year (along with their Israel/Union etc flags).
