Get the fuckers before they do.
I'm going to see this hunk of junk in the flesh tomorrow. See if its as horrendous as it is in the pics. I hope that I'm wrong.
By Linius Go To PostMy birthday is the 9th, feel free to send me a watch lads.ah shoot i missed it. maybe next year then.
By reilo Go To PostCompressor style or dual-crown dive watch. It has an internal rotating bezel you operate with the second crown. Just like a normal bezel, you can time stuff with it. I don't recognise this particular model but Baltic make a similar black PVD coated watch.
Lads, what watch is this? It looks like a Pilot Watch of some sort.
It's from this video: https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=rJbeBq8Wqdc&t=601s
But even in 4K I can't make out the brand.

By Perfect Blue Go To PostBremonts get a lot of flak. For that price I’d just buy an IWC pilot watch.Do they? That's a shame. What's the flak? The design is amazing.
By reilo Go To PostDo they? That's a shame. What's the flak? The design is amazing.Overpriced. The movements are just modified ETA calibres and nothing really special.
By reilo Go To Post"modified ETA calibres" what does that mean? There's a few third party movement manufacturers and ETA is one of them. Along with Selita, Seiko, Miyota, etc. There's nothing inherently wrong with third party movements and designing and manufacturing your own movements is expensive and requires a lot of knowhow. So companies just buy these finished movements and re-package them into their watches. For the cost of a Bremont though, I'd expect something designed in-house rather than a re-packaged ETA movement that can bought on watches a quarter or a third of the price as the Bremont.
Turns out Bremont does have its first in-house movement but the watch is like 4x the price of the one you linked: https://www.bremont.com/products/longitude-steel
Thanks! Appreciate the background / context. That makes a lot of sense but I don't know enough about who makes what when.
Eyeing these for myself, want to buy sometime this year.
