By NiceGuy Go To PostOh shit it's the buggy
I don't think I'm very good at this fighting mini game
You can actually pause during it so it makes every fight extremely trivial.
This dual savage grand horn fight in the combat simulator is just a cheesy as fuck lame fight. Two binding fuckers you can’t dodge smdh
Still makes my head hurt on graphics mode and I can’t tell the difference between smooth and sharp and on performance

Guys do the Samurai quest, the very last one is fun...lol

Final Fantasy VII:Rebirth - 9
Everywhere in Rebirth, then, you can pick at the profligacy, but the bum notes fade beneath victory fanfares. So full and comprehensive is this modernised SquareSoft RPG, in fact, that beyond finishing the story, the trilogy finale may struggle to justify itself. But that's the future's problem, of no concern as we feast on the spread in front of us. In a triple-A climate where development costs spiral and content often replaces craft, the generosity and ambition of Rebirth is a convincing argument that, once in a while, too much is exactly what you want.
wow, EDGE the only trustworthy gaming media loves it
incredible videogame.
By C4-621 Go To PostMy last side quest on this chapter is getting gold in chocobo racingI ended up skipping one of the side quests at the end because it was basically redo all the gold saucer minigames but harder. Really feels like someone on the dev team needed to speak up and say this isn't actually fun and maybe we should cut some of this.
I dont want to do this man
When does Yuffie become good? Right now for me she's doing a lot of attacks with small damage, even when exploiting a weakness. Good at avoiding attacks with the ranged ninjutsu, but it's basically chip damage that drags fights out unless I'm misusing her.
yuffie is perfect for staggering
use her elemental weakness and then doppelganger, she's not a massive damage dealer from my experience but a party of cloud aerith and yuffie will demolish pretty much everything

Might give her my luck materia then, she's chronically low on slots though right now. Where did you guys put your AP+ materias?
Can't remember if Cloud was this powerful in the original game. Right now he has the best physical and magic attack for me, but I'm not sure if the physical attack number takes dps into account.

I just prefer Tifa because her speed and synergy shortcuts makes it easier to hit enemies that speed around. Add that she has lots of great synergies with my preferred characters makes her my main.

I used AP+ for Ice and Fire, Lightning and Aero materias until level 2, and keep it with Aerith to level up other stuff. Right now it's used to level up Time materia so I can use it for magnify later.
Enemies that burrow underground and make you wait to be able to damage them 💩
Dodge timing for the sandworm swallow is ludicrously tight compared to every other attack in the game so far
Not entirely sure why I'm doing all of Chadley's busywork when I have little intention of Platinuming it. Really not a fan of hard mode only unlocking after completing an 80+ hour game, think that's three FFs in a row where they've done that and put a trophy behind it.
The triple hit of mini-game volume/difficulty, lulls in the pace of the story and inevitable brick wall in the combat arena is just too much for me.

By Hentai Samurai Go To Postfuck odin and fuck zantetsuken
piece of shit boss
Pick yuffie as your primary character, spam elemental nunjutsu with doppelganger, use brumal form to dodge everything and keep your atb full. He won't Zan off hits on other party members, just the one you control afaik.
I ended up using bahamut to stop dealing with the bullshit.
bet this asshole isn't even that good of a summon.

holy shit being forced to fight as caith sith in these reroute the duct whatever section is actively destroying my enjoyment of the game.
By Hentai Samurai Go To Postholy shit being forced to fight as caith sith in these reroute the duct whatever section is actively destroying my enjoyment of the game.Ha, I was thinking earlier that it'd be nice if the game forced me to play as Red XIII and Cait Sith at some point because I still don't really know what they're for. From the little I've used of Cait Sith, it feels a bit clunky and arduous to get him into a state where it's worth having him.

He’s my least played but seems like he’s good at smaller mobs with his base attack stun locking them until you drop down via a ride. If the fiend is large, I’m not a fan
managed to kill the thing, shit section. never touching this again.
Not sure whether to pile my Luck onto Tifa or Yuffie. Tifa seems to have crit nodes in her upgrade tree, but I just unlocked one for Yuffie that's given her +50 Luck for free. Yuffie has the better base stat for now and constant, largely uninterrupted attacks, but Tifa has the abilities that do big damage.
Okay, you guys were right. Yuffie is a beast. As much as I want another turn-based FF, I'll take this combat as an alternative. The fights where you have to strategise your heals, items, limits and buffs are so good. Starting to pay some attention to the shortcuts now, still not doing much blocking and synergy-skills. Hardly used Aeris since leaving Costa del Sol, think they might have made everyone else's healing a bit too powerful.
Unfortunately Will was right about the jungle area as well, absolute fucking nightmare to navigate. Pretty annoying that you can't see a desccription of the spells from the materia screen, as far as I can tell you have to equip it and then find it in the Spell screen.

Aerith being an ATB monster with radiant and ATB ward means she's my go to as my healer. Double heals + hyperarmor while casting, or pray for free heals.
trash enix u better give us an update to use the costumes in loveless during regular play

Finished it @ 71 hours.
Loved it for about 50 of them. By the end it was in str8 bitch eating crackers mode for me. The story is absolute GUFF. There's just too much... everything. For some people that'll be great. But not for me.

71 hours!?
I'm 65 hours in and just got to Golden Saucer. Admittedly I'm playing every minigame to get the highest rewards. Took an hour on Pirates Revenge alone to get the Time Materia.

I did like 90% of everything I could until chapter 12 when I began wanting to tear my eyes out. Because asking me to do the same things again but this time harder, is very boring.
I think the only things I didn't do were in Cosmo Canyon because Cosmo Canyon fucking sucks.

That's pretty much how I felt by the time I got to the end, the minigames were good the first go round but then making them harder just makes them not fun to play. Found the same with the open world, the maps at the start of the game were fairly simple and it was fun checking stuff off the map but then you get to Gongaga and Cosmo Canyon and they have these gimmicks with the Chocobos that make it a pain in the arse to get to anything.
Been in Cosmo Canyon for about half an hour, yeah fuck this. If you're no good at vertical traversal and map layers, don't do it.
Just reached the actual town
What a place. Shame the music sounds like 9 year old me with a recorder.

Yeah I liked cosmo canyon even if it was a pain. I am however not wanting to redo mini games when I wasn’t thrilled with half the first go around. Chadley stuff has me worn the fuck down lol. Thinking I’ll wrap up the protorelic and a couple more thing and finish
I’m digging the story and loving he combat but fuck me these robes dudes getting to places that require I climb a mountain or ride a water jet chocobo is jarring 😂
Don’t think I’ll move to hard mode, unless I can skip a lot of shit

The Golden Saucer battle challenges really ramp up the difficulty. Love it.
The whole area is great really. Incredible visuals and some interesting mini games.
But the pacing of the game is all over the place. The first four chapters were pretty serious, expanding on the escape from Midgard, chase of Sephiroth and mystery of the robes figures. But chapters 5-8 have the the cruise ship break, Costa Del Sol mini games and now Golden Saucer shenanigans. Just slowed down the main story which I've now kind of forgotten what it's about.

I liked the jungle too. I mostly hate how they buried all the good materia and recipes in chadleys fetch quest shit as well mini games
By Perfect Blue Go To PostAm I missing something with the jungle? Actually finding it fun to traverse. Digging the density.I dislike some parts of it. Aesthetic and music wise it's great.
