Like it so far. They've added so many systems compared to the first one that it's a little overwhelming at first. But the ariel movement combined with the gunplay *chefkiss*
Ammo is scarce as fuck though. I guess they really want you to get in and mix it up with the Glory Kills. I can see that being a complaint by a lot of people.
I'm playing it at 4k with Ultra Nightmare settings. Easily over 60+. Actually in the 80+ range. Also playing with HDR. Game looks so good with it. Colors really pop. Only complaint is the map is super dark with HDR enabled, but I'm sure they'll address that.

May try and lower the resolution to 1440p () for that sweet 144fps action tomorrow

OK this is awesome, Chrono Strike (slo-mo Rune) + Quick Hook work together! So basically every quick hook you pull off is in slow motion. Helpful to take out limbs!

There's a screen to the right of the teleport that let's you do mission select and fast travel.

Yeah don't think I'm going to like this nearly as much as 2016. The constant resource management is irritating and the platforming is trash. Only at the Cultist Base and I already want to delete it lol.
actually enjoying the resource aspect of it, tied with the movement buffs. It keeps you moving, keeps you timing your abilities and alternate fire. You have peaks and troughs within the fights with a constant tension. Weapon upgrades, runes, ability upgrades all work to make the fights more dynamic. Currently running "speed boost on glory kill" and slowmo air runes, dash-refill on glory kills, Frozen enemies drop HP abilities on top. You can be 2hp, glory kill into flame belch/frost nade/chainsaw and basically refill everything in the space of 1.5 seconds, dash out, jump slowmo and reset your aim and positioning.

Glory kill run speed boost rune seems like a must. a lot of the time in the harder arenas you REALLY gotta make some distance.

One thing I don't like is that combat arenas almost feel...too tight if that makes any sense? Feels like I'm constantly running into shit while I never had that problem in 2016 despite that game having higher movement speed.

This is solid advice. There's a ton more to manage but I think once you get a handle on everything, you start to appreciate it compared to 2016. Although there's something to be said for that game's relative simplicity compared to this one, but I'm glad they didn't get it the same and add a "2" to the title.
The use key is mapped by default to the same key as melee attack . Which means if your trying to use a switch/keyboard/anything from a slightly off angle DOOMGUY just violently punches whatever device your trying to activate .

Had zero issues with the platforming. In fact I think it's one of the few FPSes where I don't hate the platforming
