By n8 dogg Go To PostJesus, just throw bombs at the fucker.I was doing that but it was taking an age. Once his shinpads were gone, the gloves were off. Then the cunt Asylum Demon'd me.
By Diego! Go To PostI ran away from them for quite a long time. Was a bit surprised how easy it was once I did go and take them on (with theMaster
Sword)
The Lynels are the real bastards.
It's pretty easy with any ancient weapon once you shoot an arrow in the eye to stun it
The heat-resistant gear is so ugly. Thankfully you can get resistance with just the pants. Is there a benefit to wearing the whole set if you haven't done 2 upgrades?
By masud Go To PostYou don't actually have to fight the Hinox. Step your stealth game up.Glitched through his stomach again
Basically as soon as I land, no matter what direction I try moving I slide for a moment and fall through and onto the floor next to him
Might try gliding onto one in the normal world for practise
Lightning resistant hat looks so stupid lol
If you stand on his hand he'll put you on his stomach when he goes to scratch.
Beat Ganon again and watched the good ending. After 185 hours I'm done. Might try to do a straight to Ganon underwear run later and I'll probably be back for the DLC but I need a break (not just from botw from games period). I have to think about it but yeah that's probably the best game I've ever played, definitely the best Zelda. Only other game I've been this into as an adult is vanilla WoW. 10/10, open world perfection, all that.

I just came up on a sleeping Hinok and dispatched him pretty easily (thanks, Mipha!). Forgot to get a pic for the Compedium though. I love that when I need a break from the main quest, I can do other stuff and have fun. No other open-world game (even GTA) has been like that for me except Sleeping Dogs
Had no idea what was in store on Eventide Island. What a great experience. You really feel helpless at first but I was able to kill every monster on the island eventually.

He looks like a lego man.
Gonna be finishing it up pretty soon tbh. Got to beat the boss on one more Divine Beast. Can't really be bothered to find the remaining 50 shrines, can't really be bothered to collect 10 crickets for 100 rupees and repeat ad nauseum. Open world fatigue truly set in for me 5/10 hours ago; I'm missing structure, urgency and a sense of the game building up to a conclusion, much like other Zeldas. Here, the main story is so sparse that I'm not engaged at all.
Wonderful game in so many aspects, but its made too many sacrifices to be as open as it is. Loved a lot of my time with it, can't see myself playing for much longer.

This is me.
I did "A Minor Test of Strength" as my 23rd shrine. It wasn't hard at all. I did have the Ancient Cuirass thought lol
+3x attack potion + Master Sword = Fireblight Gannon is insta-dead. I can't believe how easy that boss fight was.
The world is so great. Would be nice if Nintendo released a lot of DLC adding to it. Not sure how feasible this is though. Can you still run around and do quests after you "finish" the game?
Only done around a quarter/third of the map and can't disagree with the criticism of the quest rewards. They could easily have given you boosts to attack/defense, for instance finish 5 quests and get 1 attack power added to everything. As it is a lot of them feel pointless, since both the quests and rewards are so insubstantial. 100 rupees just doesn't cut it, and while I admire the lack of an xp/scaling system, they've kinda thrown the baby out with the bathwater in dispensing with the typical treadmill design.
Don't ever run into financial troubles in Hyrule, friends. My method is 100% guaranted to improve your rupee situation, or your money back!
Honestly though, here's the absolute best way I found to grind some rupees. No glitch, no tricks. 3000 rupees in like 10 minutes. I'll spoil it just for for the hyper-triggered that are just starting the game but it's mostly about a region, creatures, and stuff. Probably bothering too much by spoiler tagging it but here it goes:
Short version: go hunt in Tabantha Tundra, cook, sell.
Long version: Head on to the northwest region, to a snowy place called Tabantha Tundra. It's pretty cold so you'll need some potions, or, better yet, appropriate clothing. There's Snowfield Stable there. Get on a horse btw. Equip a Spear as your weapon. Go wild around Tabantha Tundra looking for Great-Horned Rhinoceros and Tabantha Moose, there's a lot of them. They drop major meat! Always a 3 piece combo of Raw Prime Meat and Raw Gourmet Meat. Kill them on horse and quickly hop off it to collect the meat before it freezes. Hunt, hunt, and hunt some more. When you're done, go and cook all that meat in as large batches as possible. It doesn't matter what the combo. Logically, the more Raw Gourmet Meat pieces the more money you will make out of it (5x Raw Gourmet Meat cooked goes for 490 rupees), but Raw Prime Meat is not too shabby either, about half the price. Cook all you can and sell it, get dat money.
Realised as I was looking for the animals' names that there are online guides for this already, but oh well.

Good shit jts.
Finished the From the Ground Up quest. 3 diamonds is good, but I don't know if I should sell them all.

I have a metric fuckton of gems and monster parts but I'm afraid to sell any of it in case I need it later.

Can you still run around and do quests after you "finish" the game? The game saves right before you get to the final boss, after you beat him you can reload that save. That save and any future saves will have a star on them to indicate that you beat the game.

It works tho. Unlike Witcher 3, when you're tired of the game, you still have to do X number of story quests.
In Breath of the wild, you finish the game anytime you damn well please. That's the difference. You don't even need the divine beasts.
This game borrows from many of those "survival" mods for Fallout without making the game maddeningly challenging or pedantic.
By masud Go To PostFuck it I'm gonna try to do a straight to Ganon run…
Please tell us how it goes.
By Phoenix RISING Go To PostPlease tell us how it goes.I made it in the castle. Only had to fight one guardian, it's good to know the lay of the land already because that would have been impossible if it was my first time. I planned to get some ice and lightning stuff from the coliseum but apparently the mobs there carry wack soldier gear at the beginning of the game. I managed to find some lightning arrows though so I'm gonna use those to disarm some guys in the castle and gear up (the weapons I brought from the plateau ain't doing shit lol.) I'm worried that even if I can defend Ganons attacks I won't have enough weapons with my limited slots to defeat him.
Really? It'll be my last once since I stumbled upon Rito while searching for shrines. Did Zora divine beast and till working on my 2nd (Goron). Worst region in the game so far IMO. Not pretty at all and having to wear that ugly heat gear on top of it >_<
By Hitch Go To PostMan, Gerudo is greatNaw Hebra and Akkala are better to me with Hebra being the best. Also death mountain ugly? Strongly disagree, I love those ash and ember effects in the air.
Heard its the best region in the game
By rvy Go To PostSo what's the deal with the master sword? It don't break just inside dungeons or shrines as well?Dungeons and Castle only.

It's all so bland and dreary. I like color especially in a game like this
Been playing through the old Zeldas the last few days; the only ones I've played at length are BOTW and OOT really.
First one is good for what it is, but far too obtuse and random in its world layout, item placing etc. A real product of its time, but a good blueprint of what was to come.
The music and artstyle of Zelda II turned me off literally minutes into the game; got to the first town and got bored as fuck.
Link to the Past is good so far. Has some fo the charm of early Pokemon games or something; just got Zelda out of the dungeon.
Will eventually attempt to play all of them.

Wind Waker HD is a big improvement on the original. Make sure you play that version when you get to it, and get the swift sail as soon as possible. I kind of think Zelda II is a game with fatal design flaws that make it not terribly good. But one of these days I'll finish save scumming my way through it.
======
I finished the sand boots quest, but then he takes back the snow boots. Is there any way to get them back?

I'm trying to collect and upgrade every piece of clothing, and fill the compendium
Normally only do this shit when there's a platinum trophy up for grabs
Wish the accessories were a separate category to be worn in addition to the headgear

Ok the castle is kicking my ass with three hearts and no armor. Lizalfos that can one hit ko are some bullshit. I might have take the outside route and save scum until I perfect parry everything, but then I wont have any weapons for Ganon. This might be less of a straight to Ganon run and more of a forage until i have a page of good food then fight Ganon run.
Or maybe I'll finally put this game down and crack open Horizon...

Studying: 1 hr.
Zelda: 8 hrs.
Another productive day.
Thanks, for some reason he was just giving me the brush off the first time I tried that. Boots obtained.
Stun them with an arrow first, then run in. Because a lot of them are elemental, if you use the right arrow you can usually almost kill them with one shot.

You made it farther than I would have. I imagine everything is a OHKO with 3 hearts.
