White and silver, lad. Silver is harder than all the bosses.

This game is definitely not one you want to rush through. I'm at 85 hours now with 52 shrines and 1 Divine Beast done. The sense of exploring is just so good and there's so much to do. It's interesting how some games make looting feel worth it when used as a means to character progression. Not really a completist but this is the rare game I'll try to 100%

That's what I thought, thanks. I've unlocked 100% of the map, time to investigate every body of water on it...

Dang, I thought I was going through this game slowly. I get it though.
I'm hoping the success of this game means they go all out on the dlc and add large new areas to the map, not just dropping a repetitive challenge dungeon somewhere.

I totally agree. Could use the DLC to gauge what players might want to see in the next game
PS: I've been so terrified of Guardians that I just discovered you could scavenge the old ruins for parts. In hour 86 lol
The mountain to the west that you can't climb is strangely out of place
Wonder why they didn't just make the whole thing an island

How do you climb it? You get there and the game just tells you "you can't go any further."

Patch 1.1.2 is up. Nintendo's patch notes are as vague as usual - "Adjustments have been made to make for a more pleasant gaming experience."
Anybody noticing any differences in the Wii U version?

I think I might have made myself overpowered already
Not even done half of the map, but with my best defensive gear I was only losing one heart every time I got hit by a basic Lynel

I don't exactly know how but enemy difficulty seems to go up as you progress through the game so I wouldn't worry about it.
Just got attacked by a Yiga, three skeleton Moblins and a Guardian Stalker at the same time. Deflected the Guardian beams back at it with my shield and fucked it, before spinning immediately round and Urbosa'd the others, jumping in with my spear and quickly thrusting (pls) the Yiga to death, and then throwing a bomb into the middle of the skeletons and blowing them up.
Motherfucker that was good.
Motherfucker that was good.
Does the Urbosa ability only start to recharge when you've already used all 3 charges?
About to do the flying one. This Teba lad seems pretty cool
edit: that last Revali line :lol
edit2: yet to fnd a star fragment. Saw one fall once, and couldn't see where it landed.

Just finished the second divine beast (Goron one) after 100 hours. I had the master sword and and upgraded armor and it was very easy lol
I got one from a NPC and saw another land but morning came right before I got to it and it disappeared :(

I've seen about 3 fall and lost them because I couldn't get there in time. Did manage to get one or two though.

By masud Go To PostNo it's where Rudania goes after you free him though.
Yeah, did that.
Also, apparently learned that the amiibos will keep giving you the same special items. I got a second pair of Twilight Pants today.
It annoys me more than it should that there are clothes that I can't get without amiibos
Ah well, should be easier to fully upgrade everything at least. Can see the Star Fragments being a massive pain in the arse though.

Amiibos are easily the worst thing about Nintendo these days. They might try to soften this as they want (and it's true that they could make it even worse) but it ruins software integrity. I just try not to think about it and forget that extra stuff.
I'm glad Zelda is moving towards VA but man, some of it is horrible in this game. Daruk is the worst I've heard so far. Atrocious..

Game should probably either clear the weather for the shield surfing challenge, or give you gates. Can't see shit.
110+ hours and I just beat my 3rd divine beast. I was so OP lol. The open-world nature of this game can really throw off the boss balance. I also think the shrine puzzles should have been combined into into maybe 10 dungeons around the game world. It's just weird to play a zelda game with no beefy dungeons
This game makes people do the craziest things. People found out that you can push NPCs if you bump into them so someone decided to push Kass all the way to another stable where Kass hangs. It "only" took him 1 hour and 20 minutes...
By cloudy Go To PostThe Yiga hideout is so trash. WTF is up with one-shot enemies all of a sudden? It's easy to get around them and you can stealth kill them.

Ah ok. I did the banana thing and started attacking but didn't stealth kill
By cloudy Go To PostThe Yiga hideout is so trash. WTF is up with one-shot enemies all of a sudden?
You may be a bit underpowered, I wasn't being one-shot there. But that segment is meant to emphasize stealth and dissuade combat. Distract the enemies by throwing or knocking something over, then nail them from behind. I think I only had to fight two enemies at the end.
By cloudy Go To PostAh ok. I did the banana thing and started attacking but didn't stealth killIt's a stealth mission the chick you rescue tells you not to fight them.
Gerudo is definitely the best town (of the main 4). Working on my final Divine Beast right now (120 hours in)
Rito Village seemed a bit half-arsed in comparison, especially since I did it straight after
Hope there are more villages like kakariko and hateno to be found

I mean, there's also Lurelin, which is godawful.
Finished the Rito dungeon. That was maybe the easiest one, and super-easy to reach in the first place, which is strange because like I've talked about before the game seems to funnel you to other ones first.
Also finished Tarrey Town. For some reason that dumb goron took forever to track down, but once I got that the rest was pretty easy. Kinda disappointed there wasn't a bigger reward at the end though, I was hoping for a shrine.
So now I've got all 4 dungeons done, only 22 shrines to go.

Enh...I guess, but I want my 30 hearts.
This game is weird. I wasn't ready to fight Ganon yet but I was exploring the castle and found my way to the sanctum pretty easily lol. I quit cos I want to get all the memories and do more stuff first. Amazing game but the main quest progression could be tighter
By masud Go To PostVendor where you can buy 50x of each type of arrow > a shrine.50x? It sold me 10x of each, do they come back on stock?
Hate the arrow scarcity. It's bullshit that the enemies come back after each blood moon and yet Beedle can't get arrow stock back. Doesn't sit well with the infinite-type game design.

Arrows were never a problem, Kakariko & Zoras always had enough for me.
108 shrines, found the final extra memory. I think I have all the armour sets except for the other amiibo exclusive stuff. Gonna be time to finally take on the castle in earnest soon.
So I got though the castle on my straight to Ganon run. I didn't realize that you have to fight all 4 of the blight forms before him if you skip the Devine beasts. I don't think I have enough weapons and arrows to ever beat this...
Over 100 hours in, all beasts, 100 shrines, beat Calamity Ganon at last. Perfect timing before Mario Kart 8 Deluxe.
It was a ton easier than anticipated. Go well prepared and it might even be easier than a Lynel, haha. A bit disapointed with the post-game nothingness. At least gimme a Master Sword that doesn't run out of energy or something, please. How about that bow given by Zelda? And Zelda playable? That's probably too much to ask but hey, remember Super Luigi Galaxy! DLC better deliver, I'm missing this game already. Made it to my top 3 ever, dethroned OoT from best Zelda.
Not that I'm NOT going to get the 120 shrines, fully upgrade all worthwhile armor sets and complete the Hyrule Compendium. I totally am. Fuck finding 900 Koroks though. Little shits.

Maxed out my hearts. At the point where further maxing my armour involves dragon horns. Just about every side quest complete. Only 8 more shrines to go...
It is awful to find new shrines towards the end of it. I have 18 shrines left. The other day I found an NPC that gave me a shrine quest and I was so happy about it.
Of course you guys don't know what shrines I have left, but any tips regardless? Any particular places to go look and talk to people that players often miss?
Or do I have to resort to online guides and maps.

Okay, this shrine where you have to wait for the blood moon is some serious bullshit. I spent like three weeks waiting, then read that killing enemies makes it happen faster so I said screw it, I'll do other stuff then just warp back. But you don't have enough time once the effect starts, it's too far from the nearest shrine.
So now I'm just going to make sure to do a daily check-in with dude at Duelling Peaks Stable no matter what. Damn that's a lot of loading screens.
There are a ton right around the castle. One inside it too. There's also four at Duelling Peaks.
But other than that, the ones you missed are probably the really well hidden ones, or out in random spots in the wilderness. Once you've passed 100 shrines there's no shame in using a guide imo unless you really want to comb through every gap between shrines in this world.
