Beal had no issues with trading Westbrook
I'm not saying he should cry about moving John and Russ back to back but his reaction to both so far has been kind of sus. I don't know, not sure how to read into it.

Sad to see Favors go again, still one of my favorite players ever. Hopefully he can be good again in OKC.
By Dark PhaZe Go To PostJazz are shit led at the moment.Ehhh trading away an All Star for talent that might develop outside your window isn't exactly a move that pleases your star player. Swapping a late first for an early second (likely) isn't ideal but it also isn't a big deal. They just did that in this draft and it worked out. A Conley sign and trade is only the best option if you were going to get a lot back, which they wont, or if he tell you he isn't going to re-sign.
Conley should be sign and traded for talent and depth if at all possible. Instead they are trading a first to get out of the Favors contract.
You hate to see it. Donovan Mitchell needs to start flexing. Moves like this aint it.
Rosas looked at Rubio’s $17 million salary, the 30 percent shooting from 3-point range and the looming luxury tax line and decided he couldn’t afford to wait to see if the strong play Rubio has displayed in Tokyo for the Spanish national team would carry over to next season. The implications of this line the Wolves fed the Athletic are hilarious. I honestly don't know if there's a GM worse than Rosas out there right now.
By Dark PhaZe Go To PostBeal had no issues with trading Westbrookbeal seems like a I want my numbers type of guy. every now and then he comes out and talks about winning but whatever

By Dark PhaZe Go To PostBeal had no issues with trading WestbrookI mean having the chance to be the #1 guy on the team now, and make even more money, while potentially getting better players around what you want is probably enticing.

Also if he really wants to win years later he can just do what other players do and request a trade to a contender.
By reilo Go To Posthaha come onHe's really, really bad. Aside from lucking into Ant, he's not done much of anything.
Saric and a pick to move up to draft Culver. Culver is going to be playing in Italy in a year and the guys they traded became good contributors on a Finals team.
Trades Covington for Beasley and Juancho. I like Malik, but he's redundant with the point guard he expended all his capital this draft acquiring. Juancho fell out of the rotation entirely after Finch was hired.
Wiggins and all his picks this year for Russell.
His draft maneuvers last year where he moves the pick to get Rubio, only to salary dump Rubio a year later.
Capped out the team for the next two years assembling a roster that won 21 games. They have no functional PF, nobody can play any defense, and his backcourt that he's paying a wild amount of money to can hardly play together. There's just no plan. He's throwing a bunch of guys around that vaguely seem like players because they can shoot or are long and athletic.

Guess there would have been more to it that just that but I think I would have rather done that deal even if I don’t think bagley is good. It is probably worth a flyer and then let him walk if he start acting up or his dad starts meddling
The Grizzlies would have sent Jonas Valanciunas to the Kings for the No. 9 pick in the draft and Marvin Begley Jr.

Colangelo ain't shit lmao
Put Love on the team for nostalgia and didn't talk to Trae for basketball reasons.
"I didn't think Kevin Love was going to play. I wasn't even sure he had much left to play," Colangelo said. "He reached out to us and said he was in shape and said he felt he owed us. And on the basis of that, we're looking at someone with international experience who at one time was a heck of a rebounder and could still shoot the ball. You know, being like a 12th man on a roster.
"Well, it didn't work out. He wasn't in shape. And he was way behind as it turned out. So you move on. Call it a mistake. Call it giving someone an opportunity. Someone who had equity with us."
Colangelo also addressed why Trae Young, who was coming off a strong season and was openly campaigning for a roster spot was not selected as a replacement when Bradley Beal left after testing positive for COVID-19.
"I'm happy that he wants to play for USA Basketball," Colangelo said. "He's done really well in the NBA. But predicated on what we felt we needed, he didn't fit the bill this time around. He's a young player, he has a future with USA Basketball, but it was the opinion of our staff that it wasn't now. It's for others to make the declaration you made a mistake'."

LeBron is going to have less fucks to give than he had in 2019. This season is going to be the meme team 2.0
I fully expect a bench of players like Melo, Love, Rudy Gay, and someone like Otto Porter. Fucking end me

Don't expect a Ben Simmons trade soon.
i don't see a way forward if they've talked to every team in the league and the Sixers have made it clear the minimum they'll accept is 3 starters + 3 firsts OR 1 All Star + 3 firsts.

Or he could show up not giving a single fuck and lowering it further. I don't foresee an inbetween.

I'm sorry, how much?
We will pay anything to get out of this point guard carousel nightmare it seems
By Kabro Go To Posti do remember that one game Conley was alright. He was actually pretty good last year. Excellent in the first round of the playoffs also. But.. he's 33... and injury prone..

lonzo ball and utah isn't a bad fit lol
If Lonzo remembers he's a good defender he can be a legit 3&D guard while Mitchell handles the ball.
Would be a decent pairing.
Though Utah has cap concerns right? I believe they can offer Conley that because they can go over the cap to sign him?

Russell Westbrook reportedly met with LeBron James and Anthony Davis at James' home two weeks ago to discuss the three of them playing together with the Los Angeles Lakers.
According to Broderick Turner of the Los Angeles Times, the three players expressed their desire to bring the Lakers another championship by "putting their egos aside." Westbrook talked about "coming back home" to win a championship as well since he is from Long Beach, California.Per Turner, James and Davis told Westbrook they would be willing to switch positions to accommodate him with LeBron going from small forward to power forward and AD going from power forward to center.
Also, Westbrook reportedly said he would be comfortable playing off the ball when James is leading the way offensively, as he did with the Houston Rockets when he deferred to James Harden at times.
