By markao Go To PostKimi and Max :great:The difference between Max vs Kimi and Sainz vs Grosjean...
Sainz + Griosjean off next SFcar
Pretty evident there.
Omg I cannot tell you how much quicker these machines are in real life, how sway how. I cannot put it into words.
What a fucking race
What a fucking race
By Spengo Go To PostMercedes fucked Bottas.pace is also very slow, 7/8 tenths of Lewis
By markao Go To PostVettel !!Gearbox stuck in 3rd gear apparently.
Max off again was complaining about something before
Vettel after good start under control, only SC fases put his victory at risk.
Lewis maximum after poor start and Kimi hit
Not sure what happened to Max (edit I see ;)) , but got the feeling he was pushing to hard to stay ahead of Kimi and in the podium fight, but he was complaining about something.
Hulk best of the rest again, capitalised on the start chaos in a weekend they were of the pace : tip:

By Spengo Go To PostThe Neymar of F1 needs all the help he can get by the FIA.dont get me started on the 10 sec penalty, when two weeks ago Charly W. argued that the 5 sec penalty for Vettel was consistent with other penalties and fair :(
Really great race.
Insane how easy Hamilton carved up the backmarkers in the opening 10 laps. Made them seem like total shitboxers. Really would be eager for some equalisation come 2021.
I - International
A - Assistance innit
Hamilton has definitely ramped up the complaining this year.

Great to hear M8 and yes real live is so much more impressive.
Where were you seated?
Also while the speed was immense, I think I didn't mention it at first because you kind of adjust after however many hours but the sound. It's like being on a runway and standing next to the plane engine is the only way I can describe it.

now imagine v8s when you walk to the track in Spa through the forest, it was mindblowing.
Positive, at least you do not need headsets anymore, or are they that loud again ?

If you attend a race weekend with F3 on the programme you might still wanna bring some hearing protection. These cars are loud as fuck.
I know Linus, but still nothing compared to older F1 engines, they would physical hurt you if you were to close :P
Nico explaining were Ferrari found the extra performance and why they are ahead of the Merc engine right now.

After short break and a year of absence were are back in Germany for round 11, the FORMULA 1 EMIRATES GROSSER PREIS VON DEUTSCHLAND 2018. Track used is the Hockenheimring and for me one o the few tracks were the newer lay-out trumps the old one. Miss the scenery, cars going high speed through the forest, but modern track brings out better races.
After the start incident in Silverstone it is Vettel and Ferrari leading Lewis and Mercedes. Past it would be a Mercedes track, but with this year Ferrari engine I expect them to be close and add the current European summer heat, a rear limited track and a Sebastian home race and Ferrari will be there. Cannot see RBR make up the loss of the first 1/2 of the track in the modern arena area, but if we are lucky they will be close enough to bother the others if they make a mistake. It will have to come from Max, maybe with some weather thunderstorms help, as DannyRic will probably take a engine penalty here, so they have a fresh one for the next race in Budapest, a track were the RBR can compete.
And finally it is official, Lewis did sign a new two year deal and stays at Mercedes and Bottas also stays for another year. Others might have wanted that seat or other teams that wanted Lewis, but for Mercedes it makes sense. Lewis is probably fastest/experienced guy out there and Valteri is pushing him really hard this year, so they get the best out of Lewis without the Nico drama.
And it is not only a home race for Sebastian, it is also one for Nico. With other midfield teams gaining through their engine performance upgrades it could be an important weekend for Renault that brought some new aero parts (front wing) to keep in the fight for 4th and best of the rest.
new image, F! posted one with tires used : hoorah:
Ferrari was on the softs, were Merc/RBR were on US, but with these track temps wonder if US will last one single lap, but Fer (engine) looks good looking at Haas/Leclerc (also softs).
Lets hope that thunderstorms for tomorrow are hitting early enough ;)
Poor mechanic:
Hulk of at high speed:
FP2
Single lap close, both Max and Lewis clean lap probably in the 1:12, Ferrari will be there tomorrow.
Race pace, Max engine prob (oil leak) and DannyRic on different program so RBR hard to read, but fast. Ferrari looked bit faster than Merc but harder on tires and Lewis lost bit of floor, so that might have played on his pace.
Midfield close ;)
Max
DannyRic vs Sirotkin almost

By Kidjr Go To PostHamilton + rain + one lap = yes pls.think the RBR (more downforce) + Max will have something to say about that ;)
Wet session, not enough tires + no risk taken so only few cars out at the end of session. Weather forecast not clear enough to call Q session dry or wet, lets hope for once rain hits when it matters.
There was a lot of this, Carlos
