Lewis :(
hope he can make it to the pits, pushing his car :haha: not going to work Lewis, few drivers will be pissed at him, for not parking.
Stoffel last, both Toro Rosso's and Ocon out
That Ferrari power, middle sector times are insane

By Spengo Go To PostFerrari did this to Hamilton's car on purpose.Bottas better watches out in Budapest
Understand Max/RBR could not gamble it, but shame about red flag, which make him use the US.
Eiricson out again when his team mate easily goes to Q3.
That was an uneventful qualie session, with the usual error by KImi and mega last sector for Valteri, so P2
Ferrari power tomorrow at the start so expect Valteri to being defending Kimi and Max against both Haas in the 1st lap.
Maybe we get some action from Lewis/DannyRic from the last row (if Lewis needs new gearbox) or the weather finally helps at the right time of day.
And full results:
Amazing to read that Max took turn 1 flat-out (280Km/H) in his last attempt, these cars are truly something special. Clouds are building, would be nice to not have it starting to rain just after the race :(
If Dry and normal start, Vettel looks on for a win, unless tires will play a role (blisters).

By Spengo Go To PostRicciardo mateLets hope he does not new stuff for Budapest :(
predictable so far, need rain to go in right direction ....please
That would be tragic for Hungary. Insane to have a brand new PU crap out in 30 laps. There’s gonna be some RB/Renault shade this week.

Stoffel retires :(
and the obligatory...what's Ferrari doing?
Haha the engineer was trying to be so coy about it and Kimi wasn't having it, wanted him to point blank say it.
The sad part is I can see why they made the call. Ham wouldn't have the rubber to defend against Raikkonen, Bottas does.
Yeah you need some #doicare during a season and Lewis + Mercedes got it today, partly by Ferrari driver errors and it does make the championship (Fer faster for me) more interesting.
Hulk best of the rest and lucky that Magnussen (what happened to him?) fell away.
Speed difference between top and B-tier is really to much, 10 last laps and Max is 19 seconds ahead of Hulk :( and overtaking when people aren't defending also sucks chocolate balls and team calls do not help either :(
we need more like this, not less :(
and of course now it fucking pouring down....always the same :(
and curious if Lewis his pit entry or not will get any extra stewards talking/penalty?
Hamilton has been called to the stewards to explain a move from the pit entry lane back onto the race track when he bailed out of pitting under the safety car.
By markao Go To PostHow has everyone managed to always build their circuit 10/15 minutes away from rain all the time?

to complete this weekend, standings
although just in that Lewis have to explain his non pit entry, cannot see how he should not be given a penalty, but hey it's the FIA so you never really know ;)

Fair enough. I had not thought of that solution .............................. and not knowing of other situations like this and how they were handled (precedent) , guess I can sort of live with it (he did not gain anything by it).
But it will no doubt keep the forums busy until the next race.

By Punished Go To PostForce India in administration. Hope they can be saved.Force Stroll inc.
Lovely day at the beach and just catching up and looks like Ferrari got this ion the bag. Max sad even here they lost 7/8 tenths on the few straights so cannot see RBR fighting for pole unless it rains later today. Merc looked really bad with their lack of grip (overheating) at the rear tires, so hope for them they found something overnight and do no end up in a fight with both RBR boys.
Force India, when someone knows who own what, they will no doubt be sold to Stroll or helped/bought by another billionaire family (Mazepin's) .

By Kidjr Go To PostHas Hamilton taken the new upgrades merc were deliberating over a few weeks ago?Not sure what you are referring to, but they not anything major, just small things like they normally do (track specific higher downforce).
Ferrari rear just look more planted than the Mercs, bit of a Monaco 2 years back feeling were Valteri just keeps trying and getting closer and Lewis keeps making errors. RBRs just do not have the pace (look to be focussing more for the race) in the dry and rain looks less likely : surprise:
Midfield close, but Renault looks closer to the Haas than in the last few races.
Both mercs going off at the chicane.
